OLIVE (FRUITLESS - NON POLL.)
- The "Swan Hill" olive was developed
exclusively as an ornamental tree. In Arizona and Las Vegas,
olive trees have been banned because of the pollen they produce.
The Swan Hill olive is excluded from the ban because it has been
scientifically shown to produce negligible amounts of pollen.
This quality also means that it is practically fruitless.
- Highly adaptable to a wide range of conditions, but is only
hardy to 15 degrees. Tolerates coastal zones, desert regions
and rocky soils. Can be transplanted easily in large sizes.
