SILVER TREE
- The Silver Tree is fussy as to conditions,
but the silvery-white leaves makes it a striking specimen tree.
Grown almost exclusively in California, it needs fast-draining
soil and supplemental summer irrigation. Does well near the coast,
where it appreciates the humidity. Does not tolerate alkaline
or heavy clay soils.
- Upright in youth and spreading in maturity. Interesting gnarled
branches and a sculptural silhouette if trained properly. Cut
foliage can be used in flower arrangements.
- Height to 40 feet.
