As I sit down to write this column, I feel a little nostalgic. It’s hard for me to believe that 2006 is almost gone; it seems like only a few months ago that the year was just beginning. Oh well! See what happens when you’re having fun?

This is the time of year when I reflect back and I realize just how very fortunate I am. I’m having a good time and, equally as important, I’ve made a lot of friends. What a blessing it is to love what you’re doing and make a living from it as well.

This past year has been good to many of us; others have not fared as well. The industry has grown, however, labor continues to be a major challenge. How can we cope with it?

Our small publishing company has grown this year as well, and we look forward to many more years of serving you. New tools, new techniques, and new technologies keep popping up and we will continue to pique your interest. Our goal has been, and always will be, to help keep you, our reader, well informed about our industry and offer you new ideas about running an efficient, profitable business.
